On a raIny May 29, 2017 (Memorial Day) the Margaret Fitzgerald Memorial Garden was dedicated to a woman who devoted most of her adult life to public service in Halifax by serving on the School Committee, as town accountant, Finance Committee, Board of Selectmen and as town accountant to name a few. An avid gardener this will serve as a fitting tribute to Peg.
