Salt Lake City

Our last stop was Salt Lake City. A beautiful and very interesting city. Highlights of our visit were the Red Butte Gardens, Temple Square, a rehearsal of the Morman Tabernacle Choir, an organ recital in the tabernacle, and the Great Salt Lake.
This is day one of our visit to SLC. The gardens, the Mormon Temple (non-Mormons not allowed inside), an organist practicing in the Tabernacle, and the choir and orchestra rehearsing in the conference center (seats 21,000 people)
Day two in Salt Lake City includes a tour of Temple Square, an organ recital in the Tabernacle, lunch at the Red Iguana, and a visit to the Great Salt Lake.

The green is pickled cactus....delicious!
Great Salt Lake marina. Sail boats are in the parking lot due to the low water level of the lake.
Our last day :(  We were awakened by the start of a charity 5K outside of our window.
A great trip and adventure that included magnificent scenery, incredible wildlife, and beautiful music.
The trip is over.
