AUSTRIA JUNE 2017

In June of 2017 I traveled to Austria to be with my sister Jane who was on tour there with the Phoenix Symphony Chorus giving concerts in Vienna and Salzburg. Here are a few photographic highlights of that trips.
SCHONBRUNN PALACE - SUMMER HOME OF THE HAPSBURGS
VIENNA CITY TOUR.
We took a tour, mainly walking, of old Vienna. Beautiful gardens and architecture.

We spent one morning at the Schonbrunn Palace Zoo (Tiergarten), supposedly the world's oldest zoo. Very manageable and well maintained.
Food was good. A lot of meat, potatoes, and ice cream.
sWhile Jane was rehearsing I took a tour of the world famous Opera House, Wiener Staatsoper. A magnificent building with perfect acoustic and a different opera every night!
Here are a few photos of the PSC performances and venues
Towards the end of the trip we spent two nights in Salzburg, birthplace of Mozart and site of the world famous Salzburg Music Festival.
And of course a few obligatory selfies
